Planning an airflight

When planning a travel, my first advice is to book in advance.
If your destination is transoceanic, buy your tickets at least three months before, to obtain an interesting discount. The convenient last minute ticket exists neither for the scheduled flights nor for the low cost companies, while all change if we talk about charter flights or about package holidays offered by tour operators.

When a last minute offer is underlined, it means that some tickets are available for a forthcoming departure. Very often, people think that it is possible to buy tickets directly on the airline website at the same price they have seen on a comparison shopper, and very often, this is not true.

Biggest online operators buy large quantities of tickets per flight at lowest prices to resell them to the final clients with enough mark up to have a profit, offering anyway a convenient price to the clients. In my opinion, comparing more airlines websites and more comparison websites is always helpful. If a low coast company operates on the desired route you would be not the only one to know that and the tickets left could be not cheaper than ordinary airlines ones.

In this case, I advice to check also the distance from the low company arrival airport to your final destination. In London, Paris, Berlin or Rome these airports are not further than main airports, but, if you plan to go to Milan, I suggest controlling carefully the costs of the transport from Orio al Serio to the centre of the city. Furthermore, you should consider flight times, to avoid getting up at the crack of dawn.

About flight terms (such as flexibility, refund and insurance policies), bear in mind that they increase the price of the ticket, so that economic tickets very often do not include them. In relation to intercontinental flights, the intermediate stops mean more waiting and more tiredness but also cheaper prices. In the high season, better distrust the intermediate stops minor to 90 minutes because in the great airports (that are very crowded) you would not be sure of the correct transfer of the luggage.
