Voip is free - e.g. skype, spikko (for israel) - no need for phone cards and they usually have loads of hidden charges
From BT and TalkTalk - they allow free calls to 0845 number - so use those free minutes and dial 0845 381 7101 - this number allow you to gain indirect access for free to call China, singapore, argentina, australia, belgium during daytime (8am and 6pm i think)! most allow only landline destinations, but no harm trying if it is free anyway!
Or register your telephone online for cheap call for 0.8p/min to Poland, Germany, USA etc. at http://www.auracall.com/ccall/rLinesCalls-en.aspx?webreference=ccall&prod=opt1
It's cheap (witj one off call setup fee of 7p, still cheaper than BT and TalkTalk at 9.9p and 9.7p!)There is no monthly fee or contract so there is no harm given the service a shot!
There are many service provider out there for international calling - just beware of the small prints!
