How to search for a job and how to find it
I have finally found a job, but it has not been easy.
Most important thing to know is that you must have a definite strategy. Then, to get a job, method, efficiency and organization are important. Once your school qualification has been obtained, I advise to choose your preferred working area; after which, you have to make a list of the companies that may be interested to your application.
Internet is actually the fastest way to propose your application, directly to the companies or using one of the recruitment websites (like Jobcentre Plus, Reed, Adecco, Monster and Total Jobs), as they have a large number of vacancies to give you the widest choice.
Next step is to write a successful Curriculum Vitae (briefly CV). Your CV would compete against hundreds of other CVs. A correct writing may catch the attention more easily. It must be concise but it must provide all the information that underline your professional skills and its reading must be smooth and pleasant. A well-written motivation letter may be helpful to introduce your motivation and adaptability to your employer and to convince him that you are the right person for that vacant job position.
Last step is the job interview. No matter which job position you are applying for, the interview must be studied very carefully. You have to demonstrate not only your professional skills but also your relation and communication skills. If a job interview is offered to you, it means that you have well understood the job advertisement and that the employer has noticed your CV.
I advise to wear formal clothes when going to a job interview, arriving 15 minutes earlier, to acquaint yourself with the environment and to get relaxed. When meeting the selector, I suggest greeting him looking into his eyes firmly, smiling and shaking his hand. Try to keep your stress under control and pay attention to the queries that may put you on the spot; manage the conversion profitably, demonstrating that your professional skills are exactly what the company was looking for.

That's all well and good - well done on your job-getting by the way - but here, in essence, is what you've said:
- Apply for jobs
- Be specific about what jobs you apply for
- Don't just apply through companies, apply through agencies too
- Don't have a CV that's written on a McDonalds wrapper
- Don't go to the interview dressed like a tramp
- Do the interview well
I, for one, would like to know what makes a good CV, HOW to impress the interviewer, and HOW to make someone realise yeah, you only have a couple of years' experience, but you're worth interviewing. It goes without saying that your CV should look good, you should interview well and you should dress smartly.
This isn't me having a go, by the way - before I got my current job, I made over 4000 applications in just under four years and this job was my only interview. I know it's not my CV because I resorted to carry-able lies. I need to know things like HOW to get looked at.
Congrats again!

When it comes to understanding what employers look for in a candidate is a/what skills they have;b/are they capable of doing the job/c.in certain jobs you have to read the job description criteria point for point so you can score the right amount of points to be selected for an interview. All this is before you get the interview. If you have to write a personal statement about the type of job you are going for then you must their brief and answer succinctly and accurately and make sure you explain any gaps you may have in career history. Don't put on dates of birth ,nationality , social security numbers and references
on CVS.
I know all this because I work in the back to work/welfare sector and the amount of people we deal with and know that these are tired and tested methods which do get results and interviews.
