Curious about how online storage works?

Are you thinking of buying an online storage space ?

Here I talk a bit more in depth about online storage . I just bought one online storage space on pcadvisor.co.uk for my cousin and she was thrilled about it  because she can finally back up all her business documents.

Let's first begin with : What is storage?

With the exponential increase of data many businesses find it difficult to protect information, reduce risk and manage the increasing spread of information assets, complying with regulatory compliance. The ever-increasing amount of data that companies must handle forced the IT world to maintain information in a fast, flexible and efficient even if data to be saved increases. . In fatc, it is a priority for companies to reduce risk, manage the increasing spread of information assets, complying with the regulations in the first place. Regain control of service levels and growth rates, reducing business risk and optimizing costs, requires an 'information infrastructure' efficiency, security, access and extraction of detailed analysis of data and information.

What's online storage ?

The online storage is the USB key for the future. No physical media to take with us, but only an online space where you can store files and, through practical softwares, keeping them synchronized between multiple computers and access we can wherever we are, provided, of course, you have an Internet connection.

The online storage allows you to:

  • Store and access your files safely, wherever you are
  • Share your files with colleagues, friends and your family
  • Automatically back up all your files
  • Synchronize files between different computers
  • Recover deleted files
  • All data is encrypted on your computer.
  • A complete answer to all your storage needs online
  • Now also available for iPhone!

Below I list  the two online storage services, which, in my opinion, are the most reliable and "run in" ones, but there are many other online storage if you browse on google.uk.com :
ONLINE BACKUPDIR : www.onlinebackupdir.co.uk/
PC ADVISOR : www.pcadvisor.co.uk/

What is the average cost?

Normally for a storage of up to 1 GB of online storage service is free of charge  and access them from anywhere. While usually the average cost of 10,
25,50,100,250 MB is as follows:

10 GB - 14 £
25 GB - 25 £
50 GB - 43 £
100 GB - 75 £
250 GB - 195 £

Personally , if you need it for your personal home files, I'd suggest you purchase a 25 GB - 25 £ !
