Swarovski: beware of fakes
As a seller, I feel obliged to give the readers some basic information for the purchase of original Swarovski crystals: I am referring in particular to the so-called "double cone” Swarovski crystal.
All about colored Swarovski. The name given to colored Swarovski crystals comes from the combination of the name of the crystal color and its coating ("Coating": decorative treatment).
Basic types of swarovski :
CRYSTAL: the base of the crystal is transparent
COLORS: The base of the crystal is colored
Types of coating :
“Ab” look : The coating is applied in mid-bead (except some rare exceptions). This is known as “half-coating”
2X AB look : The coating is fully implemented this if why is considered “full coating”
Colors :
Swarovski produces hundreds of varieties of colors.
Most of the colors named after the emulating gemstone .
In other cases, however, references may be of all sorts . For instance , there is a swarovsky crystal color named after Burgundy wine, or another color called PADPARADSCHA named after the lotus flower , ect...
Crystal's effects :
AB Crystal's effect: in full, we should speak of "Crystal Aurora Borealis." This effect gives the crystal a brighter rainbow effect.
Golden shadow Crystal's effect: This look gives shades to the golden honey-colored glass .
Other times, the "effect" can significantly alter the base color.
Some examples:
AB 2X crystals : even if the basic color is black, the crystal produces a rainbow effect with shades of blue that vaguely resembles the color of the tail of a turkey.
SATIN ctystals : This effect gives the crystal a canopy of old beige mixed with shades of gold
BEWARE of fakes :
Clearly, Swarovski company applies to us dealers different prices depending on the type of crystals we buy. For
example, an AB color type of crystal is more expensive than the basic crystal color , or an AB 2X crystal is even more expensive than the AB one (and so on ...).
For this reason, it is literally impossible to sell these crystals at the same price!
Beware of those who offer these crystals at the same price!
Even the SWAROVSKI company does not recommend buying from a dealer who is not am authorized Swarovski dealer.
Just a little trick to test your swarovski dealer : when purchasing many crystals, ask your dealer to send you an envelope with SWAROVSKI HOLOGRAM Mark and the name of the color you are going to buy.
If the seller refuses to do so ... absolutely beware!
Unfortunately there are many individuals who sell without the slightest respect for the law.
