Seattle, a great discovery!

Hello everyone , I just got back form my vacation in Seattle 4 weeks ago and I am still amazed about how great Seattle is and how much fun I had there. Seattle down town was a nice city I guess as cities go but what I can't get over is the amount of out door activities right next to the city . One could go hiking, biking, skiing, boating ect... amazing how close they all are to the town.

But what I found most extraordinary about Seattle is the amount of italian pizza places ( I love pizza) .I didn't even hunt pizza places and most of the places we looked or stopped at had some pizza menu. Amazing ! Talking about the weather , I guess we were lucky.

As you know, Seattle is called the “rainy city” because it rains 90 % of the years. .. but not when we were there. The weather was great and all the people we met seemed more laid back and not in a hurry compared to most US cities. This helped the “vacation” rhythm we were into :-)

I truly had a great time in Seattle and would really like to live out there ! I've had these kind of pipe dreams since I came back . I seriously want to downsize and move to Seattle . My husband just thinks I have the return from vacation enthusiasm but I think she would love it out there too. Seriously . I mean , Seattle is a true people friendly town ( not like London) . I have been living in London for the past 15 years and my stress level has increased month by month . I truly need a break from big cities.

Seattle, is the perfect mixture of everything a town should be and should have.

It is very well connected to the rest of the world. Seattle Tacoma International Airport has direct flights to London and major cities all over the world. Plus , Seattle houses prestigious schools and Unversities such as the University of Washington . Seattle is also equipped with excellent healthcare cluster and related biotechnology and medical device sector which led to new collaborative developments in bioinformatics . Employment is very well structured and I believe it would not be hard for me to find a job there.

Tourism wise , Seattle has much to offer. Most famous tourist's attractions are : Columbia Tower Observation Deck , Smith Tower observatory deck, Space Needle Observation Deck , the Department of Parks and Recreation , the Pioneer square, the International District , the Burke Museum , The center of Contemporary Arts, the Children's museum , the Hanry art Gallery and much more. Very fascinating are Seattle's parks , as well. The most famous one is the Discovery Park ( 534 acre natural area park ) with breathtaking view of the city .

I so much would want to go back to Seattle this very moment.
