More on french doors
Even if usually referred to as a “french” window, a French door is a door made up of glass panels and wooden frames that separate panes, which are generally rectangular for most French doors. In fact a French door is typically used as a style “finishing” inside homes. Most people use it as a way to bring as more light as possible inside their home, or as a partition panel that keeps a feeling of space.

I consider a French door an added value and an element of style for any home, as well as a great investment. Anyways, installing a French door inside a home will increase the potential sale value of the home itself. In fact , last year, when I sold my London flat , I earned a 5 % more on the flat because of the 6 french doors I had installed. The real estate had an easy task selling my flat. It is a fact that most of the time, it can make a dramatic difference whether you own a french door or not . A French door can transform a plain room into a much more valuable and good looking environment , which is for sure a luxury element in real estate.
As a matter of fact, a French door is typically used more for aesthetic purposes than for partition purposes. I personally installed a couple French doors in order to make my indoor and outdoor living spaces look more connected. I installed a French door opening between the studio and the patio area so that (when opened) they would become one singe big space. I also installed a couple of French doors between the balcony and the living room ; my friends said that it looks absolutely luxurious ! I took it as a compliment , of course!

Finally, because a French door is so versatile, you can install as many as you want ( as I said , I had 6 of them in my last flat) . Not only a French door can be used as a simple partition door but also as an architectural element bringing style and fashion to your home together with keeping the space light and airy.
Pricewise, as you can probably imagine, French doors are not a cheap purchase , but you can find different prices depending on the Brand, on the wood the door is made of and on the place you buy it . Let's say that an average £ 400 inc VAT ( each) .
I absolutely recommend French doors to anyone's looking for fashion , elegance and style for their home.
