Electricity prices: how to switch supplier

First of all go on internet and compare the prices and look for the best deals for saving on electricity prices. Many web pages compare prices for gas and electricity and help you in finding the best solution!
What you will need if you want to switch supplier:
- You will need your full postcode because electricity prices will change depending on where you live.
- You will also need your latest electricity bill so that it will be easier compare prices and see how much you use or pay. If you don't have you latest electricity bill don't worry, with few extra question it easy to find out your usage.
- In order to find the right plan for you, you should have an idea about what you are looking for in terms of how you want to pay and energy plan.
- Now, you should have in front of you a list of all suppliers and the savings you can get! After you have read all the details you are able to choose the best option for you!
- With only 5 minutes you can do the online application and switch to a new supplier. After you have send your application to your new energy supplier, your new supplier will advise you old supplier of the switch and it will set up your new account. After you will have to pay your final bill to your old supplier, cancel any debts with your old supplier.
- That is it! You changed supplier!
Remember that during the switch your energy supply will not be interrupted because you will receive your energy through the same pipes and cables.... only the company that bills you is going to change! The whole process will takes between 4 and 6 weeks. After 6 weeks you will receive a welcome pack and letter from your new supplier. Don't worry you will not receive two bills because the companies will agree a switch over date!
.. and if you think you haven't choose the best solution for you, after 28 days you can decide to switch again supplier but before doing that look at the cancellation charges!
