Do you know how to lock your bike?
Have you heard about the last statistics and now you want to know more about bike insurance?
A bicycle insurance normally require:
- That, at all times, you lock your bike securely
- That you use an approved lock (if bicycle worth over £500)
- that you secure your bike to an immovable object
How much should it cost? My insurance, for example costs me around 53£ a year and it covers theft, fire, accidental damage up to £10,000 and vandalism. It also limit my financial responsibility for any damage caused to third parties and includes personal accident cover. I have also free legal expenses cover and if my bike get stolen or damaged, I will have a payed taxi ride home. I have chosen also an European and world cover and a breakdown recovery for my bike. But I have also some limitations: as soon as my bike will be older than 3 years I will get a depreciation, so I will get less money and, I have to keep it at home during the night.
If you are asking yourself what kind of insurance you should get and how much it should cost, I can suggest you some insurance that offers the same guarantees at the same price:
- Evans Cycle Insurance - 51£
- ETA cycle insurance - 53£ is the one I get!
- e&l cycle insurance – 53 £
- CTC Cyclecover insurance - 54 £
- Cyclesure - 54£
- Cycle Guard 56£ - this insurance offers also a racing option for people that participate in competitive bicycle sports.
