Time... how can we control it?

A watch is an instrument of Timekeeping and, more generally, for measuring the passage of time. It has became a real status symbol, a fashion accessorize.
The need to measure the passage of time had felt since ancient times. The simplest instrument is the sundial, constituted of a pole in the ground, whose use is documented in China since the third millennium BC.  For example also the Stonehenge complex was considered an astronomical device for determining the time of the equinoxes.

The main drawback of the sundial is that it cannot work at night or on cloudy days: for this reason alternative clocks were developed, based on regular progress of events an example is the hourglass, a simple device based on the regular release of water from a punctured container.

In the third century BC, in Greece, the hourglasses were developed in more accurate water clocks, where the water flowed between two containers connected. Water clocks were also created with a mechanical system of timekeeping.

During the Middle Ages the first mechanical clocks were invented: in the fourteenth century, many cities were equipped with watch towers, for example Paris, Milan, Florence…
In the eighteenth century, John Harrison, invented the timers: clocks designed to have a high accuracy and precision.

Since 1920 the main watch used is the wristwatch, worn on the wrist with a strap or bracelet. Wristwatch are modern watches that, in addition to the time, often display also the day, date, month and year, in particular electronic watches may have many other functions, depending on how modern the watch is.

My favorite wristwatch is the one of the new collection of Emporio Armani “Ceramics”. The ceramic material has been used for more than 50 years in watchmaking, and today has become a trend thanks to its lightness, flexibility and extremely pleasant touch. Inspired by the elegance of white and black graphics, this collection is the result of the perfect agreement between refined elegance and modernity.
The ceramics collection is divided into two main forms of dial: round and rectangular
All models have a particular bright dials thanks to the shiny finish applied.

Emporio Armani watch collection 'Ceramica' is on sale in all Emporio Armani stores in the world and a selected network of specialist shops.... so, what else?
