Sanwar in dock
LONDON: The International Cricket Council has said Bangladesh spin bowler Sanwar Hossain is on report for a suspect bowling action but the cricketer can play against World Champions Australia in the upcoming One-day series.
“The report was made by umpires David Shepherd, Rudi Koertzen and third umpire Simon Davis after reviewing footage of Hossain’s action taken on the second day of the second Test between Australia and Bangladesh in Cairns,” ICC General Manager, Cricket, David Richardson said.
“After reviewing the footage both on-field umpires and the third umpire decided to reported the bowler to the ICC,” he said.

Pak players slammed
ISLAMABAD: Controversy-ridden Pakistan cricket team will now have to contend with another charge that a few players on the England tour indulged in late-night hang outs and were also irresponsible on the field.
National selector Shoaib Muhammad, attached with the Pakistan team in England, has expressed dissatisfaction with the off-the-field behaviour and habits of some players on the tour in his report to the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Meanwhile, a Pakistani court warned Shoaib Akhtar of stern action if he failed to appear over a petition demanding an apology for his criticisms about fellow cricketers, officials said.
