About babies...

Hello everybody!
I'd like to share some info about baby clothes with you.
Many of us like buying baby clothes for a newborn or a kid, but there are many things just a few know. Actually, when choosing clothing most of us look for style, fashion and price.
There are some clothing details, instead, which you have to focus on to avoid dangers for the baby. For example, since babies are inquisitive and pull at their clothes, buttons can be potential choking hazards. It is necessary that they are secure, as babies and toddlers may think they are toys or something to eat.

Similarly, hats with pompoms may come loose, ties and ribbons must be securely sewn on not to be glued or tied. Clothes made from fur, although trendy and cute, could be another potential choking hazard: a small baby will pull on the fur and put it in their mouth.
There is another problem which is frequent among baby clothes buyers. I've bought a lot of nice items for my little nephew, but anytime I try her them on, they're too big or too small!

I never find the right size. Surfing on the net I've discovered that many other people have the same problem as me. Do you want to get some advice? Then read on!
Babies grow at different rates, so it can be very difficult to buy clothes which will fit them perfectly. I've found a clear and simple size chart on the net, which outlines all the information you need to make a quick and easy purchase. The following measurements should only be considered a guideline, as baby vary considerably in length and weight.

AgeApprox HeightApprox Weight
Newborn56cm4.5kg (9.9 lbs)
0-3 months62cm6.5kg (14.1lbs)
3-6 months68cm8kg (17.6lbs)
6-12 months74cm9.5kg (20lbs)
12-18 months80cm10.5kg (23lbs)
18-24 months86cm12kg (25.5lbs)

If your baby isn't born yet and you are not sure what you will need, you should buy only a few sleep suits in the first size. I've received so many gifts from friends and family of clothing in the first size, that many items have never been worn!

However, it is important to have plenty of the basics, like bodysuits and sleepsuits, as you could use up to 6 in one day.
