Seeing many people dressed in Islamic clothing is very common in United Kingdom

At the present, seeing many people dressed in Islamic clothing is very common in United Kingdom. This is because many Muslims live in United Kingdom. Most are the progeny of the people that moved to United Kingdom many years ago, others are people who has recently converted to the Islamic religion. Therefore, you would be able to see a large number of people dressed in Islamic clothing simply going around for a walk.
I like very much the image of a various mass of people where everybody is dressed the way he likes, and I think that the presence of dressing styles that are different from the old traditional classic England style is a nice and positive factor.
It seems to me an important aspect of a truly multicultural society, as the United Kingdom’s society is indeed.

There are some basic characteristics of the Islamic clothing. The various styles of Islamic clothes reflect the standards that Islam has set for personal modesty. Muslims consider the value of public decency timeless indeed, notwithstanding the standards of personal modesty may seem antiquated to not Muslims eyes.
In the past, all Muslims had unfortunately no choice but purchasing their clothes in the Muslim area of the world. Actually, the development of Internet provides easy access to an increasingly growing number of online retailers of Islamic clothes.

However, Islam does not impose determined colours, fabrics or styles. As a result, you can find a wide range of Islamic clothing styles, reflecting the great variety between the different Muslim communities. Some Muslims prefer to dress in traditional colours, such as black and white rather than green, blue or grey. Once again, the choice of a colour instead of another has not particular meanings. Certain colours or clothing styles are more popular in specific areas of the world, due to the respect towards old local tradition. Islamic rules for the adequate clothing style come from both the Qur'an and the Hadith. First part of the clothing rules regard the part of the body that must be covered in public. Roughly speaking, an appropriate Islamic cloth for woman must cover the body, especially the chest. Furthermore, as the prophet Muhammad said that women must cover their bodies with the exception of face and hands, most Muslims translate this rule as the requirement of head covering for women.

Men must cover at least the area between the navel and the knee. Then, Islamic clothes must be loose enough not to permit people to understand the figure of the physical structure and thick enough not to make the colour of the skin visible.

In addition, the general aspect of a person must be modest and decent and must not imitate people of other faiths. In few words, Muslims must look like Muslims, women must look like women and men must look like men. This is the reason why Muslim men cannot wear gold or silk accessories, which are believed to be womanly. Moreover, Islamic clothes must be clean and modest and are designed not to obtain other people’s approval and regard. In conclusion, Islamic clothing is a metaphor of the way a Muslim must be and simply reflects what is inside a Muslim, who must be modest in manners, language, aspect and actions, as this great and more and more popular religion asks to its faithful.
