The Ovens multiple functions

We all attempted to prepare some complicated dish, some better than others. Moreover, we all know that in any respectable kitchen there must be an oven (better if contained in a kitchen stove). The oven is indeed a very true friend of any cook. Furthermore, a built-in oven is very comfortable and helpful to cook your food keeping unchanged the style of your kitchen.

Main advantage of a built-in oven is its versatility. This means that you can place it wherever you think it is more comfortable for you. Unlike the traditional built-under stove that is placed under the kitchen ranges, a built-in oven can be placed in a higher position where it would be more comfortable and more appropriate for your requirements. In many kitchens, the oven is at eye level so that you would not need to fold that often to check the cooking of your food. It is also extremely important that children would not be able to come into contact with a high built-in oven, avoiding all the related risks. Since few years ago, it was very common to find built-under ovens but recently the trend has changed. The built-in ovens are actually getting increasingly widespread, notwithstanding the price that is higher than a traditional built-under oven.

This trend goes hand in hand with the phenomenon of the fitted kitchens where the different appliances, refrigerator, dishwasher and oven above all, are embedded in the furniture items. In this way, the appliances are disguised to advantage the general aesthetic of the kitchen, which is the space that many people are more and more appreciating.
Basically, there are two types of ovens. One is the built-under, which is placed under the range cooker sharing with it the control panel. The second one is the built-in oven that you can place wherever you prefer because it is not embedded under the range cooker and it has its own control panel.

Built-in ovens are both gas and electric, but I will focus the attention on electric ovens. Electric built-in ovens work thanks to two different ways of heat transmission: by convection and by forced ventilation. In the first case, there are two resistances at the double ends of the cavity that produce the heat, reaching very high temperatures. You can decide to turn on just one resistance or both, depending on what you are cooking. Very often, only the upper one is used, such as when you finish the cooking of a lasagne pan or a cake.

In the second instance, some turbines that move the heat in the whole cavity in a homogeneous way produce the heat. The outer thermostat allows you to control the temperature, which is usually between 122 and 482 F°. It just takes some time and some experience to learn to use the dosage of the temperature. Nearly all ovens provide the Grill function, which is suggested to cook au gratin; in addition, you can use this function in combination with the ventilation, which is the suggested function for the roast. All ovens provide the grill that is very helpful to put on a cooking pan or the food itself.

The timer is another useful accessory because, once set the cooking time needed, it will inform you when the work is done. The cavity lighting can be used depending on your requirements. My last advice regards the oven measures. I suggest that you take carefully the measures of the space where you intend to place your oven before purchasing your oven. Remember to measure your doorway as well, to avoid that your new oven cannot fit through your doorway and, to conclude, do not forget to measure also the cavity of the oven. Control if the cavity is large enough to house the cooking pans you are planning to use and, in conclusion, remember that the manufacturer's manual is worth reading before start using your new oven.
