The indisputable ease of Internet is that you can display the localization of the hotel on the city map, you can have a look at the hotel rooms and read the feedbacks that former clients have left. Whether if you are looking for a guesthouse or for a luxury hotel it is important to know few things about reservations, about the types of room and about the classifications of the hotels.

When do I have to book?

You have to book in long advance if you want to save some money (Advanced Booking). Furthermore, you should avoid the high season and the period close to the main events of the cultural season, if possible.

Types of room

• Single room - If you book this type of room, you will have a single bedroom. As many hotels do not offer a single room, by this reservation you will have a double room.
• Double room - This type of hotel room provides the traditional double bedroom. If called Twin Room, the room is for two people but you will find two single beds.
• Triple Room - This room may have three single beds rather than a double bed and, in addition, a single bed.

Some hotels offer the possibility of booking a room for more than five people.

The accommodations

• Breakfast excluded - This accommodation does not provide any type of meal.
• Bed and breakfast - This accommodation provides the breakfast, included in the final price of the hotel room.
• Half board - This accommodation provides the breakfast and another meal in addition, usually the dinner, included in the final price of the hotel room.
• Full Board - This accommodation provides the three main meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) included in the final price of the hotel room.
• All Inclusive - This type of accommodation provides all the meals and the beverages, but I recommend to ensure if all kinds of alcoholic drinks are included.
